UFC 74 Wrap Up the Universe is Still Intact

UFC 74 was evrything it should of been and in the natural order of fighters, there has been at least one major upset for every UFC in the past 6 and now the upsets seen to be dead for UFC 74. Pierre versus Koscheck became very evident that Pierres latest lost was more of a fluke then it was a loss and he comes back strong taking out Koscheck very quickly through out the rounds.

Randy Couture versus Gabriel Gonzaga was a complete mis-match as Randy "The Natural" Couture beat Gonazaga for 3 straght rounds, Randy has been the most prepared fighter in the UFC and he veteran skills came over the top of Gonzaga as he pushed him straight into the ring walls and tired Gonzaga out with short punches, sholder block, as well as an occasional throw down tackle. Randy make quick work Of Gonzagas endurance as well as put a gash into Gonzagas nose from a take down in round one that put a blinding touch to Gonzagas face through out the fight bout. The fight went to desicion where Randy came up on top with no questions about who the Heavy weight champion was and is.

September 8th Should Be Knock Outs Galore

Quinton "Rampage" Jackson goes after Dan "Dangerous" Henderson as his first title defense. This fight should draw a huge corwd and even more emotion as both have the rights to call themselves true champions. Both are very heavy handed and have knock out power with every swing but Dan may have teh advantage in his grappling skills. If Rampage can keep it standing up and sprawl well in each take down Rampage should have absolute domination in this fight. But then again Dan knows jsut about every trick in the MMA book so even though the advatage should go to Rampage its only a very slight sliver of an advatage.

Mirko Cro Cop makes his 3 coming to the UFC after a brutal knock out from Gonzaga which could of been a fluke or a representation of his old age he come back still fighting at 220 and will be going against Cheick Kongo which is fighting at 240. Both are very evenly matched record wise but this might be where Mirko turns up the heat as he has already been humbled once. There is no doubt with his extra ordinary striking and kicking power that this fight may be over in the first round with a Kongo knockout.
